There have been many precious traditions and perspectives on Awakening through the ages. From the neolithic origins of shamanism to agrarian/pagan mystery schools to the esoteric branches of eastern & western traditions like Tantra, Sufism, Kabbalah, Taoism, Vedanta, Vajrayana, and more. Add to that modern evolutions and understandings like AH Almaas’ the Diamond Approach, Wilber’s Integral, Gurdjeiff’s Fourth Way, and others, and we’ve got quite a lot of amazingly interesting and valuable stuff to compare and contrast! That can give us a more sophisticated vantage point to think about what we’re doing and to practice from.

As I’ve had direct experiences, and in some cases substantial training in all the approaches named above, I’m in a good position to offer some insights and lead some discussion, and some folks have been requesting that. So these will be relaxed sociable gatherings focused on the theory and understanding, not on actual practice.

This excites some of us a lot, we may even identify as sapiosexual. Others not so much, and debatably just as well for them! If you just want to practice and have experiences that open you up, come to the other events. If the devil in the details turns you on, then this is for you. And I do feel it opens up the space for a more Jedi level of adept practice, or I wouldn’t bother…
